Though there are many “cheeseburger meatloaf” recipes out there, this one actually really does taste like a cheeseburger! You’ll see by the ingredient list, that mine hits it right out of the park, if I do say so myself! One of my best meatloaves to date, and one that the whole family will enjoy!
This has got to be one of the best meatloaf recipes that I’ve come up with yet! And I thought that nothing could beat my original, Moist & Juicy Farmhouse Meatloaf! We still love that one, too, of course!
But this one has even more flavors, more convenient than making burgers for the whole family as it’s all in one pan, and there are many fun ways to serve it including all of your favorite burger toppings!
So, just grab a large bowl, and let’s make this!
Simply add all of your ingredients, crumbling in the beef for easy mixing, and then evenly sprinkle all of the rest of the ingredients over the top.
RESIST. THE. PLOP. No one likes a mouthful of salt in one bite!
And if you plop all of the ingredients into the middle, you’ll never get them evenly dispersed. And if you try, you’ll just end up over-mixing the meat and you’ll end up with a BRICK when it bakes.
So, gently combine the ingredients. And if making just a half of a recipe, it will fit nicely in a bread loaf pan.
If making a full recipe, which I HIGHLY recommend, here’s a neat way to use that old pressure cooker rack that you never use! I oiled my cast iron skillet, then placed the rack in the bottom, and then sprayed the rack for easy clean-up later!
This will allow the excess fat and grease that is released when baking, to be away from and below the meatloaf!
See how perfectly this works out? Thank me later!
Now. I know. This isn’t a “pretty pic”. But I want you to see how it does.
Had this been placed into a casserole dish, the meatloaf would’ve been SWIMMING in that fatty stuff.
This kept it away, and you can simply just use a large spatula or two to lift it right out and onto a serving plate or cutting board!
Oh, and BTW, during the last few minutes, I added a sauce to the top of the small one, and this one actually got a few slices of cheese on top while it was still hot and resting!
So be sure to add that too, if you’d like!
“Alright Mr. DeMille, I’m NOT ready for my closeup!” HA!!!
But once you lift it away, you leave all of that yucky stuff behind!!
Nothing left but the GOOD stuff!!
And you can run a little spoon, or a little bit of paper towel, right around the outer, bottom edge to get the last of the fat off if you want to.
Then just slice and serve this up any way you like!
I placed the slices on top of bread with lettuce and tomato for the hubs, and added a little pickle for myself!
We totally enjoyed this open-faced and just knife ‘n forked it!
We couldn’t get over how much this truly actually DID taste just like a cheeseburger! This made for such a fun and delicious supper!!
I served this awesome, Juicy Cheeseburger Meatloaf with my homemade Copycat 5 Guys Fries, but this would also be wonderful with my Sweet Creamy Southern Cole Slaw or my Old-Fashioned Mustard Potato Salad!
Hope you all enjoy this as much as we have!
Coming SOON!! See what else I did with this meatloaf the next day with the leftovers!!
