The Perfect Spicy Hot Bloody Mary

bloody mary cocktail

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!!! Ha! Just kidding! 😉 But I did enjoy this fabulous cocktail mid afternoon out on the deck, and it was THE BEST Bloody Mary I’ve ever made or had! And incomparably better than any I’ve ordered at any restaurant, bar, or club, either.

I don’t drink very much “hard alcohol”, almost never actually, but boy oh boy I do love a good Bloody Mary now and then! And this was beyond good!

I hadn’t had one in years, and just out of the crystal clear blue sky, had the craving for one yesterday. Luckily, I wrote everything down as I went along for both you and I to make again and again!

You may want to adjust things to your own personal taste, maybe you prefer more lemon, more worcestershire, or a splash more vodka 😉 , but for me it was “just right”.

I don’t care for too much of any of those in mine, but as I’ve said, we all have different likes thank goodness, or what a boring world it would be! So, I would suggest that you start off as written, stir well, then taste and add to make your own personal set of taste buds happy! 🙂

I started off by using up some of the Spicy Hot V-8 left over from a batch of chili made awhile back before it went bad, and the extra spice to start off with got the ball of fire rolling! I was going for it! And that I did!

Everything but the kitchen sink went into this drink and it was hard not to slurp the whole thing down in one long gulp! I really had to slow myself down and pace myself by about halfway through, because it was going down way too fast and waaay too easy! I wanted to savor this as long as possible!

I really had to go on the hunt for a decent and fun garnish, pilfering through the fridge and freezer for something that would really go well with this cocktail; and the hot and spicy pepperoni, the creamy and fiery pepper jack and the salty pungent green olives stuffed with pimiento peppers were the trio of perfection to compliment!

Extremely tasty when dunked, too!

I was sad that I forgot the fresh tomato slice and my last pepperoncini pepper that I saved specifically for this, that were also supposed to make a “star appearance”, but one more thing and I would’ve popped anyways!

So, needless to say, I was glad that I had an early and very light lunch, because this baby was very filling!!

If served with a warm, garlic parmesan breadstick , I swear I could enjoy this for lunch ANY time! 😉 Don’t judge, at least it has proteins, minerals and vitamins, the cup of  V-8 has only 50 calories with tons of veggies (2 daily servings +), and a dab of dairy to boot! Right?

Ok, so, weeeelllll, maybe it wouldn’t be the healthiest lunch, and don’t even get me started on breakfast or brunch, but it sure would be fun once in awhile, wouldn’t it? 😉

Well, one thing’s for sure, I happen to have about “just enough” of the Spicy V-8 left for another one. It’s either freeze it into an ice cube tray for later use, (HA!), or make another one tomorrow …. any bets? 😉

Have a wonderful day all, and try not to take life too seriously. Always remember that life’s a constant roller coaster. When things are bad, always know that there’s something good coming up around the bend! 😉
