Ingredients
For Crust:

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 Tbl. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup (1 stick) cold butter, cubed into small pieces
For Filling:

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup (6 oz.) semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

1/2 tsp. salt
-
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
-
1 tsp. Amaretto Liqueur
-
1/4 tsp. almond extract
-
almond buttercream frosting, optional garnish
-
maraschino cherries, optional garnish
Almond Buttercream:
-
2 Tbl. butter, softened
-
1 cup powdered sugar
-
1 Tbl. milk
-
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Instructions
For Crust:Preheat oven to 350ºF.In a medium bowl, whisk flour, sugar and salt to mix. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press firmly onto the bottom and up sides of a 9" pie plate. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely.For Filling:In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips and salt. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Stir in pie filling, liqueur and extract. Pour into cooled crust. Chill 2-3 hours or overnight until firm.Garnish with Almond Buttercream (or whipped cream), and maraschino cherries if desired.For Almond Buttercream:In medium bowl, beat butter, beat in rest of ingredients. Place into a pastry bag with decorator's tip of choice. Makes enough to lightly decorate top.
