Literally, all of my life I’ve had Siamese cats! When I was a baby, our Siamese cat, “Dickens” (short for Charles Dickens named by my mom), used to sleep in my crib with me! My Grandma always had Siamese cats, too.
I just love them! They’re highly intelligent cats, and loaded with personality! We currently have a “Snowshoe Siamese” that we were lucky to be chosen to adopt after I saw him on the news early one Saturday morning!
“Gilbert’s” sad and shocking story went nationwide. He had fallen from a 7-story building and suffered many horrific injuries such as a smashed and fractured pallet, both front legs broken, cracked ribs, and internal injuries. He had to be on a feeding tube for a long time until his little face and mouth healed. 1,000’s and 1,000’s of offers to adopt him came pouring in from all across the country and even a few from across the pond! I wrote them and filled out a form…..and they picked us to adopt him! 😀 I could NOT believe it! 😀
*If this old video will still play, you can see his TV debut here! 😉

Our lives have never been the same since! 😀 He’s our fur baby, and one of the smartest, funniest cats I’ve ever, ever had! Downright naughty at times, and I wouldn’t want him any other way! 😉 😀
His first time with Tom away from home. He sure missed his Papa!

And “Gilbert” today! He’s one spoiled, happy and healthy kitty! 😀

While my hubby was away on a very long business trip, I made myself a few new cocktails! And I decided to come up with one dedicated to “Gilbert” and Siamese cats! I googled to see if there was a drink already by that name, and to my surprise, there wasn’t!
So I started with a bold, strong and sassy ingredient, 😉 , strong-brewed coffee! I set it in the fridge to chill while I thought what else should be added! I wanted to mimic the traditional colors of their coat, so I got out the White Chocolate and Milk Chocolate Liqueurs! His coat has a nice mixture, so a little Kahlua went in there, too. 😉 A little cream, because cats love milk! And finally, a little Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur, because let’s face it, Siamese cats are a little nutty! 😀 😉
This turned out purrrrrrfect!! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!!) You can omit the cream if you’d like, and, you can adjust the liqueurs to your own liking, too! Because, just like people, each cat has their own personality! 😉 And we like it how we like it! 😉
I hope you give this one a try! It really was delicious! Dessert in a glass! 😀
Remember to adopt pets, know that they are for life and not a toy, and always have your pets spayed and neutered! Take care all, and have a beautiful day! ~Kelly

*Just a quick note! I might slow down a little on my blog, so don’t worry if you don’t get as many in your email! I will still be here, but just taking things a little slower for awhile. 😉 Four posts a week for two years kept me massively busy, and I have a few home projects that I’m going to be starting, so I won’t have quite as much time to do it all. But don’t worry! Lots of good things still coming your way! 😀
